Melody and Mandolin Rain Bruin's Deirdre Connor, now a dancer with Cirque du Soleil®; is given a golden opportunity to be a assistant choreographer at their new residency show ZAIA in her ancestral home of Macao, China. From the painstaking rehearsals in Montréal to the 2008 red carpet gala premiere, Deirdre will put her dancing skills to the test as she faces the variety of life's ups and downs in the new challenges to her art, trying to win over her dance crew, especially one rebellious if not sensuous dance member under her wing; and also becomes involved in her first adult relationship.
